When capitalism really rids itself of democracy - a process running as we speak - communism will latch onto the discarded idea of true democracy and make a comeback.
Marx thought the revolution meant war though, and though I am a pacifist I'm sure civil war will break out sooner or later. The democracy downgrade will reach its breaking point not in America, but in a European country overstretching itself trying to follow the lead. 'Freed' yet poor states such as Romania and Bulgaria are the likeliest candidates.

Actually its the capitalism that will grow out of proportion with its environment till it consumes all the resources of the world and fulminates. There is no way the world can take 6 billion greedy, money hungry, oil thirsty capitalist; who will do anything to be successful at the cost of innocent lives, and at the end something got to give. Millions of American jobs are lost every year because someone thought to be successful in the global market. According to the billion dollar global leaders human lives is becoming just a numbers of expenses that can be reduced through outsourcing. Capitalism has made human lives expendable. So to answer your question, what Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels said was that capitalism is its own doom, and frankly the truth couldn't be more close to this.

Never. Nunca. Stop reading that foolishness. It's already been proven a failure. Do you still believe Nilly-Vanilly didn't lip-sync?
