As long as history is documented it should serve as a lesson to the present generations and society and a possible map for the future of that society. Those who cannot use this to their advantage are doomed incur the age old anomaly of repetitive history. In the wake of the tragedies that were an indirect or direct result of these historical blunders we should be able to infer that they bad ideas to implement in this day and age...

Those who won't recognize this fact shall not mature beyond the simple minded fools that their ancestors were....

If you are unaware of things that happened before you were born, your mind will never 'mature.' Also, you will never learn from history if you are ignorant of it. Can't remember who said this, but someone once counselled that " if don't learn from history you are destined to repeat it. "

it simply means that you(the child) was ignorant of everything before you were born--- you(the child) had no idea what was going on before you were born!
