Hmm, there do seem to be far more neocons on Answers than there are in "real life" (and I live in Georgia). I wouldn't be surprised if they were using multiple accounts. As far as gaming for points, I'm not so sure about that. I think that they're just trying to scream their ideas at everyone. If they post a stupid question and get 35 responses that disagree with them, no matter how well-reasoned they are, they (almost) always choose the one short, idiotic answer that agrees with them (like "because they're stupid libs!!!!!!1").

Yeah, it's the centerpiece in the Neocon conspiracy to take over the world. Karl Rove has given orders that it is imperative that Neocons take over Yahoo Answers. Resistance is futile.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am a conservative republican that enjoys a well thought out posted question with equally diverse and well thought out answers that might help in better understanding the way my fellow American citizens think and feel. But this forum has become nothing but a hate filled jamboree of people that don't want to induce any kind of intelligent discussion unless its name calling or copy and pasting thoughts that they have not researched. I have many liberal friends that have helped me see certain issues clearly as I have done for them. But this can only be done if we work together to learn instead of provoking fake rage which seems to be the majority on here.

Yes, but it's in the middle of a system that's pretty ridiculous to begin with. There is no reason to expect a "best answer" to be anything like the real best answer to a question, at least when the question is about anything remotely controversial. The conservatives' political correctness police will always get in the way about those things.

Yes they are definitely doing it, and you can always tell when by the same profiles showing up to agree with each other. Certain people are really bad about doing this, so I don't even bother answering their questions. They are always the ones that will attack yours though, and the answers have absolutely no merit to the question being asked.

I pick my own best answer when I ask a question. Anyway what do you do with the points? It's not like we can exchange 2,000,000 of them for a diet Pepsi or something? They are not the point. What is the point of points anyway? It's not about winning, it's about....
Well for me it's about messing with peoples heads.

If the question is political in nature,it is just the nature of politics to choose a answer that the asker agrees with.If someone didn't do that ,said person would be double minded and would probably require counseling.

Pick your own best answer instead of letting the voters do it, if that's how you feel. I don't believe that yahooanswers claims to be a cross-section of the American public.
