Go to http://www.softpedia.com or http://www.download.com and look for a FREEWARE that will let you convert your AVI movie file into a DVD format file such as VOB.

Then you can just use your NERO to burn it into your DVD-RW

An AVI file is only compatible with CD-RW so you can burn it into a CD-RW, but you will need special equipment that will play those types of CDs.

okie..brother..tell me wat u want to do..
i guess u want to burn a vi to dvd-rw!
ok ur operating system is XP u dont have to use nero!

1)right click on ur file(tats on the desktop) n from the menu click copy!
2)insert the dvd/rw in to the ROM
3)take my computer and double Click on the DVDrom
4)u get a "blank window (if ur dvd/rw is emty/new)" right click on the window and "paste "
5)on the left side of the window u will see a link name"write these files on to the disc" click it.

tats it xp will burn the files to the dvd!

the avi file can now be viewed from ur system or dvd player!

i think the file is in divx format.

divx is a new format which can compress the size of DVD movies! it retains good video n audio quality!

u will get lots of divx converters on the net..using which u can convert the avi files to a reduced size and quality u want!

just got to divx.com for more information

and for converters go to google.com and search for "divx converters"

if u still cant do it..just email me!

all the latest dvd players play avi files so u dont have to convert it!

go to http://www.alloksoft.com to download a file extension coverter.
When you download it from this site, the converter shouldn't be free, but don't worry, you can enter the serial.
To look for a serial # for the converter, you need to go to http://www.freeserials.com or http://www.serials.ws or http://www.crackspider.net
