I HAVE given money to Katrina relief.
Why do you feel Bill Gates SHOULD give money to Katrina victims.? Isn't it his choice to do whatever he wants with the money HE earned? I do not like the tone of your question. I ENJOY helping people - I don't like to be told to do so, or shamed into a cause other people think I should support.

`Bill Gates maybe one of the wealthiest men in the world but is also the most generous, he and his good wife have given over $5billion thats right billion, thru the foundation to charities around the world inc. victim support groups of hurricane katrina

I don't know if Bill Gates has helped specifically with Katrina, but he does work with AIDS. Also, our library received a grant from his foundation so we could have free computers.

Bill Gates and his wife Melinda typically do donations through their foundation... and yeah... the foundation has given quite a bit.
As has Forbes, Turner, and a wide variety of other wealthy people. They just don't make a big deal of publicising it.
