Oh dear. How often do you take the iron?? As you may well know, iron can cause some problems with constipation. My doc told me to just take it every other day, and it seems to help. Also, yogurt helps this. ( one a day)
How is your potassium? This can cause fatigue if lowered. Slow down and go at your own pace when you walk, try not to worry about keeping up with others, its important with all of your other probs, that you take it easy.
See your physician, ask about the potassium, and maybe have a complete blood work up to see how your sugar levels are too. In the meantime, a vitamin B complex might alleviate some muscle cramps. Hope this helps you, to help yourself.

You don't say how long you have been walking? A year ago I had surgery. I didn't exercise or anything, but lay on the sofa. I became weak and any exertion was hard. I started walking and at first it was a struggle to walk and breath. I gasp for breath. I now walk 2 miles every day. It's up & down hills and I go quite
easily. I am also much stronger.
I do think you need to discuss this with your Physician before you start walking or doing any exercise.

Sounds like you have a good start to find out the cause of it, don't go by what others tell you that they have you need to go to your doctor and ask the same thing that you are doing on here. At your age and depending on your health and past health problems it can be a number of things, From simply to very complex ones, do you have a problem with your sugar? Are you have DM type 1 or 2? Please see your doctor, to have it liked at.If it is your sugar it can be cured but the longer you wait the more it can hurt you.

you're short on calcium and magnesium. Drink greater milk. The old scientific care of a tumbler of warmth milk earlier mattress has it somewhat is advantages. once you have a leg cramp, no count number how intense, you will desire to curl your foot back in direction of you. In that place, the muscle tissues will relax swifter. it somewhat is going to wreck in the commencing up, yet ease up speedier. I study that for the time of an editorial contained in the Wisc. State magazine and it works.

You did not say this - are you a smoker/ex smoker? Check out for emphysyma. Your body is telling you that it has problems. You HAVE to find out what it is.
Second, the calves cramp - I think it is unrelated to your shortness of breathe. It has to do with your shoes. Are you / were you using high heels? Like stillettos in your younger years? Well, you should use orthotics and never, never use high heels.
High heels are bad news for women. I do not know who introduced them to women - I need to have a good word with that guy (obviously it is a guy, who do not know woman's problems) - and change this fashion industry. Far too many women have the problems you mention - only because of high heels in younger years. See a podiatrist soon.
