Banks are allowed to disclose this information when selling repossessed properties. Many are sold at auction where they are clearly advertise as repossessed.
Details of possession orders granted to the banks in open court would also be available.

I think that's covered by a confidentiality clause. No bank or building society should give out details about peoples positions only of the property if they have a selling section.

If they have repossessed them they are their properties and I do not see why not, so long as they do not disclose any personal information about the former owner.

Ive seen repossessed houses in my local paper. They have to get their money back somehow, how else are they going to sell it without letting people know.

No, its private and confidential. esate agents marketing properties arent really allowed to tell you either, but some naughty ones do. But you are not alowed to give details of the person who is being repossed etc.
