Yep, tool kit, first aid kit so I can help other road users, not just myself.

If you crash and need medical help nothing you could carry on a bike would do you much good, you tend to go straight to hospital via an ambulance. I only carry the tool kit my bike came with and a very small socket set to get me out of trouble if i need it, and have no more space under the seat anyway. Anything you carry or strap/attach to your bike annoys you/get's in the way/ flies off at speed or slows you down.

I carry a first aid kit with my camping gear when I'm on the road, but not when I'm just riding near home. I do carry a bright yellow laminated card with my name, address and medical info in my jacket pocket.

I do not yet, just got my bike...but a friend and I took an "accident scene management" class for motorcyclists last Spring, and she purchased a basic 'first aid' kit at the class.
I'd recommend the course to anyone (rider or not), because it gives you information particular to how to handle accidents involving bikes/bikers.

Probably because if you actually get hit on a motorcycle, chances are you're not going to be in any shape to use any of the above. Unless you ride with a pus*sy-bar?
