The horse cost depends on the breed and age of the horse usually. Stable fees depend on where you live. Then there are feed bills. Then there are the vet bills. Then there are the bills to shoe the horse several times a year. Then there are the equipment bills for a saddle, bridle, exercise bridle, blanket. curry comb, brush, hoof pick, different supplies for the horse for it's hooves, coat, mane and tail and more, and on an on. Unless you have a lot of money to spend every month don't even think about. It's a very very expensive hobby. And unless you really know how to ride and control the horse add on a series of riding lessons as well and all the proper clothing you will need and boots.
And don't forget all the time you need to invest weekly to bathe and groom the horse, spend time with it, exercise and ride it. Big commitment. Big.

They are very expensive. And once you have one you have to take care of it, feed it, worm it, groom it, get it's hoofs trimmed, by horse related accessories, etc.. Plus if you keep a horse at your house (cheaper than boarding it somewhere) your social life pretty much goes to zero, because you need to be there to feed it in the morning and around dinner time too.
Also, I'm guessing that you are young and a trying to convince your parents to get you a horse. If you really like horses I would first try to get a job at a local horse farm, cleaning stalls, etc...Once you are around them more, they might let you help out more and maybe even ride some of the horses. Great way to be with horses, but not have a lot of the expense of owing one. Plus, if you still want one, you can probably negotiate a reduce boarding fee for all of the help you give around the horse farm.
You can also check into your local 4-H.

boarding fees ussually cost from 250-750 a month. it depends on the facility and how much the stable does for your horse. a good horse ussually cost a few thousand. you can also adopt which would cost less but a lot of those horses aren't broke under saddle and if you adopt a wild mustang you are going to have a big project on your hands. just make sure you know what you are buying.
yearly it ussually cost 4,000- 7,000 to own a boarded horse
