Is it a bad thing, when your period doesn't come every month? I haven't had sex or anything like that so I know that I am not pregnant. But my period skips months or so. Is it a bad thing, is it normal, whats the cause of it? I really need to hear some advice or something...
Please Help if you know!

Ok dont worry you are not pregnant!
What happens is when you get your period it takes it a while for it to make a routine. So sometimes it skips some months. Dont sweat it i know alot of people who have freaked for the same reason! Like my friend when she had her first period she didnt have her second one for 5 months!
Dont worry!

Its not good to have skipping periods. You might have polycystic ovaries which is nothing to panic about because lots of girls have it. However you do need to lose weight if you are overweight and you should check with your Gynaecologist...she can put you on Metform 500 mg twice a daily and the correct birth control pills for you e.g Yasmin because B/C pills make your hormones normal again and you can usually stop after 06 months or so. Do consult your doctor because this condition can reduce your fertility later in life and its best to be treated as early as possible.

We hear a lot about the menstrual "cycle," which can make it sound as though it happens like clockwork. And we say that a woman who gets her period every 4 weeks is "regular," as though there's usually something abnormal about women who don't. In fact, most women don't get their periods at exactly the same number of days after the last one.
Some girls always have irregular periods; others get theirs every 28 days like clockwork. Many are regular most of the time, but occasionally skip a period or get an extra period during times of pressure or stress. In fact, you may notice that when you go on a trip or have a major change in your schedule your period is late.

No this is normal, if you are young or old, some women are never regular. If you were to go on the pill only for the sake of your periods, they would regulate your period and you would probably get them each month and know exactly when you were going to get them, otherwise, you just may have a longer cycle, meaning to a calendar month, you only have a period every other month or every 6 weeks or so...

It's fine.
Some people have periods once every 2 months. Are you an athlete? If so, that could be one cause.
I guess as long as your period comes on regular basis - takes the same amount of time for the next round to come, then it should be fine.

It's not a bad thing......just something to watch.
You sound very young. Young girls often have irregular periods. If you're athletically active you might have irregular periods. Many young women going through basic training in the military will skip a period or two while in boot camp. This is very normal.
If you have bad eating habits your periods will be affected.
Many girls who diet excessively and court disaster with anorexia or bulimia will have irregular periods.
Emotional stress will also mess things up for both young women and older gals!

Well, If you exercise alot it will not show up every month....also if you are not eating right it can affect it as well. The best thing to do is to check with your doctor....because so many things can change it. if it's a poor diet he/she may outline a nutritional plan for you. when I was exercising 2-3 times a day I didnt get my period for months at a time and I was perfectly healthy....but if it's something else, dont' take risks with your health! :) Hope that was helpful honey!

Well untill you're on a frequent cycle you could skip a month. You're presumably just starting puberty so don't worry! :) But if you're deep into puberty and used to have regular periods there could be a slight problem, maybe. Stress, sport and different eating habits also affect them.

It's normal but if you want to get on a more set schedule you can always see your doctor. Alot of times just going on the pill will regulate your period. :)
