"Hate" is a bit strong. One thought is that communism is simply a different side of the coin. In the US, the basic idea is that effort is rewarded, i.e. the harder you work the further ahead you get. Communism, on the other hand, is more like you work as hard as you want and get as much as need/want. A second take on the US's reaction to communism is that they object to governments that do not act in their citizens' best interests and some of them co-incidentally happen to be communist, but it is not the communism per se that is being objected to.

Communism stifles prosperity, creativity, and freedom. It increases tyranny, godlessness, and misery. It's a failed ideology, face it. If it was so great, then it would have showed the western world how superior it was, but that didn't happen, did it? It's Utopian ideals would work, but the human element interferes with it's design because mankind's corrupt nature. So it can't work. Capitalism isn't perfect, but if held in check, works better than communism. Communism enslaves the masses.

Communism works against Capitalism. In my opinion, the USA *IS* a communist type State. Many hard working people go to work every day to give to people who don't want or can't work. In that way, the State is distributing the riches.

Go to a communist country and I bet you will hate it before you leave.
If they let you leave. HEH HEH HEH
Communist governments have historically been oppressive. They keep all of the people under tight control. No freedom, no rights. If the government thinks you did something it doesn't llke you go to jail without a lawyer. Some people have been in prison for years for daring to criitcize the government.
Amnesty International spends the majority of its time trying to get people released from Communist countries.
Look up Tiananmen Square at wikipedia and then come back here and tell us what you think.

1. Because it's an enemy of capitalism.
2. Most countries that have or have had communistic governments have posed threats to national security.
Ultimatley communism cannot work.
Nature in itself should be proof of that.
Even if they did achieve a working communist government, it may be possible to make things equal for everyone, but that doesn't mean what they get/have is of a nice standard.
"Yay, we all have in door toilets! Too bad they don't work!"

We don't hate it... we just know that it does not work.
Every nation that has tried communism has ended up poor, technologically backward and has a low standard of living.
Every country that has a democratic, capitalistic structure is wealthier, technologically advanced and has a higher standard of living.
Even China is having to adjust communisim to include some facets of capitalism to beging to compete in the world market.
Don't believe me... look it up; compare the economies of the various nations relative to their socio-economic structure.

First off, we don't "hate" it. We don't pay attention to it. It's a failed system. It didn't work. It's a loser......and we don't hate it because it's not worth paying attention to.
