Ladies, Help me understand something.

How can a woman love a man/boy who has raped them in the past and continue to sleep with them, But hate a man/boy who've they've had a child with?

Help me understand this. I thought most women looked at rape as something unforgivable. But if that’s so then how can a woman continue to sleep with her rapist and say that she continues to love him but can completely hate the guy she's had a child with even though he never did anything like that.

Yeah I’m a guy but I look at this as the ultimate low (rape) and the most unforgivable but just can't wrap my head around why a woman can continue to do this and admit to their partner that they love that person.

The woman obviously has a very low self-esteem. The man, for whatever reason, gives her something that she's lacking. I can't explain it b/c I can't understand it. I would never be able to do that. Rape is the ultimate invasion and I don't think a normal woman could ever get over that.

MOST women would never be able to stand the sight or even mention of someone who raped her. It is the most unforgivable, next to child abuse in my opinion, at least a woman understands. She must feel really bad about herself and think for whatever reason that she either doesn't deserve better or can't get better. Whatever her issues are they are no reflection on you, she needs therapy.

I don't understand it either. I look at rape the same way. I couldn't even stand to look at someone that had raped me. Let alone continue to slepe with them and claim to still love them. She probably needs to see a counseling because she has some issues that she has not dealt with.

Sounds like she has some mental issues and needs to check into some counseling. I'm a female and I can't figure out why a person could love someone who raped them, either. Encourage her to see a therapist.

There is no explaining disfunction. This women has problems. If I were you I would only worry about raising my child and not worry about pursuing a relationship with this wacko. Your child will have a hard road ahead of them with this physco mother. Be there for your child and try to make the most "normal life" you can for this kid.

These type of things are a kind of themselves. You can't compare that woman's situations with all the women raped. It seems that she is thinking of revenge. One day she will hurt that rapist in the same way she was hurt.It is called VENDETTA.

I can not comprehend why a woman would fall in love with her rapist. It has to be some sort of coping mechanism in order to deal with the trauma of the whole experience. My only suggestion would be to get this woman some therapy in order to deal with what has happened and her feelings. My best to you.

I can't understand that either. If that had happened to me, one of us would be dead. Rape is the most heinous thing I can imagine. I hope you can get beyond this, it's apparent this woman has low self esteem.

Did she just claim rape and it really wasn't? I don't understand, if she was raped how she would continue to have anything to do with him either.

Love is blind sometimes. It happened on General Hospital and it was the best love story they ever had in the last 30 years!
