I Don't Like Mondays was inspired by the actions of Brenda Ann Spencer when she killed two and injured nine in January 23rd 1979 and her lack of remorse, and inability to provide a serious explanation for her actions when captured other than the reason 'I don't like Mondays'.

I Don't Like Mondays by Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats. The album is "The Fine Art Of Surfacing". It's a song written about a girl who shot up a playground in California in the early 70's. When they apprehended her, her reason was "I don't like Mondays". Oh, and this was before violent video games, goth clothing and heavy metal music arrived. Face it, as long as we have weapons, we will have people willing top use them to kill en masse. A sad but true fact.

frequently, for me, Monday is purely as tremendous as the different day. in reality, I many times positioned up 'TGIM' on my facebook status each and every monday. yet immediately, on the different hand, is a mutha fkin Monday.
