I took an ovulation test and two different days in the am back to back and they both show positive. What does that mean? Does it mean I am still ovulating or could it also mean I have already ovulated?

They work by hormone level detection, so you are in the process (about to, right now, or have just) of ovulating. Ovulation kits are not very reliable, especially if your periods are irregular. Also, it is possible to get pregnant by having sex up to 3 days before or 3-4 days after ovulation, while the egg is still travelling down your tubes to your womb. Good luck

An ovulation test should not show a positive. You are thinking of a pregnancy test. Ovulation shows two lines (one line if you are NOT ovulating)... one is the refrence line... 99.9% it is going to be there. And then there is the test line which tells you if you are ovulating or not. Now I don't know what brand you took but most of the time... the line closest to the absorbent tip is the test line. That is the more important one here. If the test line is the same in color or darker than the one closest to the handle (the refrence line)... then you are ovulating. If the test line is faded... then you have past ovulation point or you are close to ovulation. Instructions indicated to take the test every 2 days. You should check the box for the instructions. They should be in there so you can understand what is going on. Good luck!!

As you know ovulation tests track the amount of LH in your urine. And the test results can be different for each person. The test instructions also say that you can get false positives from recent pregnancies, irregular cycles, PCOS etc. What the instructions say that when you get a postive resulut, that is that day you are MOST LIKELY to be ovulating. If you took the two tests with in 24 hrs of each other its possible to get 2 positives, or two results that look like positives.

for it to be a true positive then your test line MUST be darker than the control line, if you have had that two days in a row then your body is gearing up for ovulation and I bet by tommorow it will be back to negative. IF you are are using the ANSWER brand ovulation test be careful they tend to show alot of positives when they shouldn't.

It means u will ovulate in the next 24-48 hrs, so start having sex now

It means your body temperature is slightly elevated...which usually means you're ovulating. It could last for as long as 3-4 days.
