First, I don't think there is a military need for a draft right now. It may be needed in the future, but secondly, there would be too much of a political down-side to implementing one now.

I was part of the draft in my country MANY years ago, and I HATED the army. I believe a professional army is much better than the draft.

No only do I think we should NOT start a draft, we should start bringing the soldiers home from Iraq. The sooner we leave the region the better. Let them form and protect their own government.
