My husband was there, and Woodstock, and Monterey Pop festival. He's sorry he came back east (Philadelphia area) and met his first wife. As he keeps saying, they don't put on good music shows nor do they make really good music like that anymore.

I wasn't at the 1969 Festival (the Bob Dylan, one I think) but I was at the 1970 one (Hendrix, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Mungo Jerry (!!!). I seem to remember that it ended in chaos because all the freeloaders camped on the hill overlooking the festival decided to break down the fence and come on in. I also had a wonderful boat trip back to Bournemouth Pier in a force eight gale (much technicolour yawning) only to be greeted by 300 or so friendly skinheads who made the trip especially to welcome us "hairies" home!
