Together with the eclampsia which i had last July 2005 my placenta raptured. How safe am i to concieve and have a normal baby.

You may but more then likely you will have one of them again, both can and are from htn and some weight gain from the preg, you need to talk to your doctor about this, if possibly talk to a female doctor, they will understand more about this.

You came as close to dying young as anyone should come. Is trying again worth leaving your children without a mother?

If you REALLY have the need to have more children, then by all means consider becoming a foster parent and taking care of children who've been to hell and back. It's really not worth the risk of a seizure in the middle of the night to try getting pregnant again. Just MHO.You're right to be afraid of conceiving again...it's just not safe.

The thing you have going for you is the fact that you know ahead of time of your possibility. You can have a safe pregnancy with good prenatal care and monitoring. The placental thing was something unforseen, as most complications are.

There is always a chance to be preeclamptic again. Its not a given that you will be that way next time you get pregnant.
