How long have to wait for biopsy results on prostate?

Had biopsy on prostate on thursday the 10th August

anywhere from to 1-2 weeks,if you have to know call your doctor they should be able to tell you how long,as many times as this procedure.

The test results should be back to you within 5 business days. The prostate samples are sent to a lab, the results are reviewed by the physician who dictates a report, and the report is then created and added to your chart. I work in a medical diagnostic facility, and if you have to wait more than a week that is unreasonable. I wish very much that medical diagnostic facilities would make a concerted effort to get test results to patients as soon as possible. Unfortunatly, the medical community as a whole lacks emathy and has very little regard for how there patient suffers with anxiety and fear while awaiting test results. My advice to you would be to follow up with your doctors office after the 3rd business day and follow up every day thereafter to expedite your test results. Don't make the mistake of ever assuming that your doctor or staff cares, because in most instances I can assure you that they don't. You are only seen as a source of revenue. No one cares about you like yourself. No one is more empowered than yourself when addressing your health concerns. And by the way, the vast majority of biopsies come back normal. And if the results do come back abnormal, you will probably be diagnosed before this disease has reached it's latter stages and will therefore be able to address the issue, resolve it with the many treatmensts available, and continue to live a productive and normal life. Don't anticipate the worst, as that is rarely the case. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God ease your mind and heart as you deal with this issue.
