If the odds of something is 1/5, that means you have to put £5 on to win a £1, so you can see that Pete is odds on fav, but say someone like Jenny is probably 50/1, and that means you put on £1 bet and if she wins you get £50, but obviously it is a more risky bet - I wouldn't bother having a bet now, you should have had a bet at the beginning for Glyn to win, now that would have been a good pay out

Earlier on in the season when you was in the bottom half you could have got 10/1 for the title, did they get it wrong then as well? if either of us slipped into fourth it would change again, as it will if you lose or draw tomorrow. so bearing in mind you have been 10/1 your point is? edit , you want to check it out before you write, they were forth favourites at one time, the reason why they are odds on now is obviously because of the money put on them. Going on your logic, the year we were eleven points behind you with games in hand because we were 8-1 we shouldn't have won?! eh, we did!! odds are defined by the punters and not the facts.. you wise up and take your red glasses off once in a while.

You'd get your £10 back, plus £2 winnings. Total £12 back for a £10 stake.
Is it worth it? I'd spend the tenner on summat worthwhile myself.

you get £1 back for every £5 you bet. Therefore you would win £2 + your £10 bet totalling £12.

£12 ... £2.00 winings plus your stake back
If you want a better return, I'd put it on Chelsea winning the Premiership. You'll probably get 5/8 on plus 38 matches in which your money would enjoy a rollercoaster ride before you can go back to Joe Coral with your slip!

Is it worth it? If he doesn't win you'll lose far more than you'll win.
Try looking for better odds than 5 to 1 on.

It's really not worth it. See if your local bookies is doing a Yankee bet, which is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in order, you may get more out of that.

at 1/5 you have to put £5 on to get £1 back, so you would win £2.00, plus your stake money back.
