I would choose North Carolina for sure.... lots of things to do and people tend to treat you as if you "are from here"
I lived there 42 years and took it all for granted.... going back ASAP.(aprox. 20 months and counting down!)
Atlanta... it has its ups and downs but it's TOO conjested all the time. Higher crime rate too.

Well, this is a tough one. Charlotte is very beautiful and is the new up and coming city. However, Atlanta is much larger and definitely has greater job opportunities as well as numerous attractions and nightlife. Just one word of caution: ATL has some of the worst traffic I've ever seen. If you don't mind sitting in traffic for hours--ATL.

I actually were to Atlanta and Charlotte, and that i at the moment stay outdoors Savannah GA. Atlanta has so a lot extra to do and bigger inhabitants, yet Charlotte has that is own unique charms, quite over contained in the South Park area. i ought to in my opinion pass to Charlotte using that is environment. it is often cooler than Atlanta contained in the summer in spite of the undeniable fact that the winters are a touch worse, yet no longer as undesirable as what you discover contained in the DC/Baltimore area. Atlanta also has get entry to to extra events, in spite of the undeniable fact that, Charlotte has Panthers football, which on my own is particularly well worth the pass. i propose taking the time to spend a weekend in each and every city purely to work out which one you want previously you pass.

Charlotte. Atlanta has gotten way too big and too ill-managed for it's own cotton-pickng good. It's a pain to get around in the city.
Other very cool, underrated Southern cities include Jacksonville, Birmingham, and Nashville. Jacksonville has a fun, thriving beachside kind of flavor, Birmingham was a huge surprise for me with its great nightlife, culture and dining, and Nashville's just an all-around great town.

Charlotte. Traffic is bad in both but its a lot easier to get around the high traffic parts of Charlotte than it is in Atlanta.

I'll say Atlanta. The Buckhead area is really nice, There is ALWAYS something going on, the countrys largest aquarium is there, nice zoo. The Marta takes you just about everywhere. Charlotte rolls up the sidewalks at 5 pm and is really dead.

I've been in Atlanta, Georgia and wasn't impressed with it....I've also been to Charlotte, North Carolina and it wasn't all that either...but I did like China Grove, North Carolina which isn't far from Charlotte...so I'd choose N.C.
