I'm not planning on taking either, just that it was a discussion that I had last night, I thought coke was worse cos it messes you up, but my boyf thinks weed is worse because of the long term affects of doseyness and paranoia etc

Coke is worse! More addictive, more potentially deadly while taking, and way more paranoia.

Pot - not to dangerous, unless heavy smoke in lungs type of damage. Just makes you stupid.

Don't listen to those who say that weed is harmless!
Most evidence at the moment suggests that everyone has a certain vulnerability to psychosis (paranoia, hearing voices etc). Those with a high vulnerabily often suffer from psychotic illness as a result of smoking weed.
It suggested that when the brain is developing (up to about 25) cannabis can interfere, leading to long term mental health problems. Those telling you there are no problems with weed proberbly started smoking it when they were older, smoked lower strength weed than is currently on the streets or might just have a low vulnerability to psychosis.

Having said that....Weed is not as addictive as cocaine. It wont make you aggrssive and wont have you robbing old women and stealing car radios to keep your habit going.

I'd say the long term affects of weed (High risk of psychotic illness, lack of motivation, paranoia, decreased social functioning) and cocaine (addiction, various physical problems and life totally revolving around your next fix) are fairly similar. They both f**k you up.

In the past 25 years, there has not been many days that I have not had weed. I am a director of my own company, employee and am responsible for a staff of 10, have an annual turnover of £250k pa, and run two houses. I have a spliff every night when I get home, and then dont smoke cigarrette for the rest of the evening. It totally relaxes me, takes away my stressfull day and 25 years on, no dosyeyness or paranoia......"what was that you said......."hehe

Quit all that long, long ago. But I'll take a shot at this...If by long-term you mean like steady use over years, and years well, if cocaine don't kill you, it'll probably ruin you physically, and it 'll certainly drain you financially. But long-term smoking is not good either. For many it curbs ambition and drive, and tends to make one rather a slacker. It may or may not have long-term pathological effects, but remember, they prescribe it for cancer patients and others, so I wonder if it's really all that toxic. I think it's probably not, but in my observation, long-term use is probably not a very good idea.

i don't know about cocaine and don't agree with either, but i do know a few people close to me who have and are still suffering serious long term problems from smoking weed. Too many people think its a safe drug but it really isn't! Mental health problems caused by it are terrible and very long term, practically for the rest of your life.

Cocaine is FAR worse than Weed in EVERY sense..

Ive smoked weed all my life, also done mushrooms, LSD,
Cocaine, Speed took an E amongst others.

Cocaine i RARELY TOUCH, only for keeping awake at a serious
party. (Once in a blue moon)

Im 32, hold down a professional Job.

Weed has been attacked for years with PROPERGANDA and misleading info. See the great film 'REEFER MADNESS' and other Government anti- Cannabis shite!

I'm not a crack-head, so I'm sure I probably can't provide y'all with valuable info... (hee, hee) but seriously, just from watching my homiez and other people, I noticed that a LOT of my homiez that smoke TONZ of weed, have had Vertigo a few times AND they also cough a lot and have breathing problemz!! And I also know older people (most) who have smoked weed since they were teenz, that have lung cancer...and said they have NEVER smoked cigarettez OR cigarz!!

And.... I don't KNOW anyone that uses cocaine, but when I have gone to clubs (in Hollywood, of course!) and I would see chickz in the bathroom doin it (snorting coke) they would act "stankin-@ss" afterwardz... AND crazy!! And they look like ZOMBIEZ!!!

I DO think weed messes you up in the long run with dizzyness, brain-dysfunction AND lung problemz...
And cocaine messes with your brain, heart and eventually eatz away delicate bone tissue (or cartilage) in your noze...

Bottom line...THEY'RE BOTH BAD!!!

Not even close... cocaine is physically addictive (weed is not), coccaine slowly kills the internal organs by speeding up the metabolism (weed does not), cocaine is much more expensive than weed, you don't sleep, you don't eat... I would much rather smoke weed than take cokaine!

Both are bad both addictive. weed destroys brain cells we know we have a friend who smokes it regularly and his mind is really b
bad. Also can lead to throat cancer and the usually lung cancer. Coke don't even go there.
