How can he drop Becks. He is an ungrateful bastard. Becks should have been allowed to go on. McClaren is a tosser, dont you agree?

I Dont think he is a tosser. But dropping Becks could prove to be a costly mistake. I dont care wat any1 says about his looks the guy still plays with the same passion as he did when he wasn't skipper an that there means a hell of a lot.

No, McClaren is not a tosser as you so politely class him. He has his own ideas about the England squad and clearly considers Mr. Beckham to have passed his sell-by date. Judging by his performances in the Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006 tournaments, I would have to say McClaren is right!

Shame Beckham didn't get 100 caps but that's life ... Time for the new era so get behind McClaren for Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010 (if he lasts that long)

No, he's a very intelligent and innovative football coach. He has learned from some of the best or most experienced managers in the game. He's willing to try out new ideas. He got a team of lazy duffers like Middlesborough over-achieving. He was part of Fergie's treble winning back-room staff. He has brought Terry Venables back into the frame and employed a renowned sports psychologist - good appointments in my book. As for dropping Becks, well, he feels that the team needs to go in a different direction, and that it's time for the youngsters and more conventional right-wingers to be given a chance. However, he said that 'the door is still open' and Becks might just grasp that opportunity with both hands...or a couple of cracking free kicks!

No. Beckham should be allowed to go on doing what? Not performing, not being a leader of his country. More concerned about his appearance. OK be grateful for the goals and the couple of games he made a worth while contribution. He resigned as captain before he was pushed, he knew he was finished when Ericsson left. McClaren made the right footballing decision

Dropping beckham for a couple of games is acceptable as his strategy is to train the new generation. But beckham should be back for euro 2008. if not, then yeah mcclaren is a tosser.

Technically, no. I think the tabloids revealed he was getting quite a lot so no need for self-gratification.

There's not five English midfielders better than Beckham (if there was, Jermain(e) Jenas wouldn't be among them) so he shouldn't have been dropped, in my opinion. Certainly costly. The FA must NOT be amused.

On his way soon. El Tel back.
