The only game that's being played today is terrorists playing the liberals for fools.
We're safer as long as we remain vigilant and not retreat like the left would have us to.

To believe President Bush or any President would knowingly allow the country to be attacked is beyond comprehension. The President is briefed daily on possible threats. There are hundreds every year. Did the President know who, what, when, and where of the 9/11 attacks? No.
Are we more secure today than when? Washington at Valley Forge would feel great sitting in the White House today than camping in the snow with an overwhelming enemy about to destroy this future country. We are more secure today than when the British burnt Washington. We are more secure today than when Southern forces were fighting the North at Gettysburg. We are more secure today than when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. We are more secure today than when the WTC towers fell five years ago.

The tone of your question screams of your bias and prejudice!
1. Yes, he knew of the impending arrests, since the British worked with the U.S. intelligence and others as well worldwide before the arrests were made.
2. Yes, we are more secure today, but we need to hunt and eliminate many more Islamofascists.
Even though I don't agree with everything President Bush has done, at least he had the guts to finally take on the Islamic terrorists that have been growing and developing for decades. We are in this situation today partly because President Clinton did nothing to take of these issues a decade ago when it was easier to deal with it. Has everyone forgotten the 1st terror attack on the World Trade Center? How about the attack on the Cole? How about other attacks on U.S. interests during Clinton's Administration. Clinton avoided taking care of this situation at all costs, and gave the terrorists a lot of time to develop further.
It's time for Muslims to take accountability for their religion and culture. Stop spinning, and address the fact that the Muslim culture is one of the most oppressive and violent cultures, against its own people, and certainly against other cultures.
For those who believe that the extremist element in Islam is small, the numbers are staggering. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world. Lets take a very liberal view that only a very small percentage of Muslims are exterme, while the rest of the Muslim world is very peaceful. So if only 10% of Muslims have extreme point of views, and may be a threat, and must be dealt with, meaning dealing with 120 million Muslims! How about 1%? Then you must deal with 12 million Muslims. How about 1/10 of a percent? Then you must deal with 1.2 million Muslims. The numbers are staggering! How do you propose dealing with even the "very low" figures of 1.2 million Muslim extremists?
It would be to the benefit of the World to rid of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Syrian, Iranian regime, and every Islamofascist sponsor or participant. It must be done to finally have a chance for peace in the world.

By all means. Let's ask the people on here, since we'd obviously know. I seriously think that if you look at the man, even if you disagree with his policy, he wants nothing but the best for the American people, even if his tactics are flawed. I'm sure he would not have stood by while thousands of Americans were killed.
We may or may not be more secure today, but the fact that some have tried to attack us and none have been successful is a good sign. It's not to say that someone might not be successful tomorrow, but for the number of tries in the past 5 years, there's a pretty good record going of stopping them thanks to our government and friends around the world.

It certainly does feel like a game sometimes.
It's silly to think Bush knew ahead of time about the terrorist attacks in the US. Why would someone knowingly allow all those people to die?
Yes, we're more secure today. Because we are now aware of the problems and trying to take care of it.'

None of this is a game.
I don't think that we are any more or less secure than before. The only difference is that we are closer to bankruptcy wasting billions subduing a country that was already beaten. The money could have been better spent securing our borders, beefing up our immigration policies and enforcing standing law. Of course that would have made it harder for the administration to line the pockets of their friends.

1. I think I heard that the UK knew about them before the day they were supposed to happen but they were waiting for all the evidence. I don't know if the President knew or not.
2. I think that yes we are more secure today. I have not doubt about that.
Also, yeah. All of use republicans hold meetings once a week...Sundays actually. We meet at this place called Church and we talk about ways to get rid of Liberal Democrats.

1) not only did Bush know about the attacks many people beleive he orchestrated them so that the American people would support his war to obtain oil. Come on - how could you beleive a PRISTINE passport supposedly belonging to a terrorist could possibly be found on top of the rubble?? PRISTINE!!!!!!
2)no - Bush is using the media to generate fear so people turn to him, like a father figure, for support. I see it happening alot people are so scared that they run to him "save me save me" its pathetic

All politicians and political parties play with the American voters minds!thats politics!your job is to think and make a decision as to which one is closest to your objectives.what you see happening is big business and money power on a grand scale being waged on the world. so basically it is greed and materialism?which is what the party politic uses to control their members and votes. what can I get for free? or what can I keep for myself??one view from each group?you are only secure as you think you are??look how easy the perps enter our country and disappear?
