I worked in an office where I was just about the only causation. My co-workers called each other "the N word" constantly, and I was sort of flattered when they called me N*****. Hey, I was part of the group, and these were good people. Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that I think it’s who, why, and how a slur is delivered more than its content that provokes resentment. As pulldeplug says, if you accept a slur, it can hurt deeply, but if you embrace it, the negative power is gone. Americans were called Yankees by the English as a slur, and we took it on as our own, along with their derogatory song Yankee Doodle.

RE:
Are there any derogatory names for white people that are actually offensive to white people?
Cracker, Whitey and Honky don't bother me. Heck, my kids call me whitey. "White Trash" is more economical than racial.

I find the whole derogatory name calling childish. We are in the 21 century and we haven t overcome name calling. Now really think long and hard about it, (1) the American Native Indians started a movement to have the football team Washington Redskins drop the Redskin part, my wife is Cherokee and she and I are football fans, this is a waste of time and money, (2) Slavery was outlawed in 1804 and the blacks were freed permanently by the 13th Amendment, that was 150 some years ago, and we are still fighting over a flag and names used by the KKK and black hate groups that have been ineffective for at least 50 years, (3) I have worked and lived with Blacks, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesians, Germans, and about every race on this earth and they are all good people. Joking I have been called Honky, Cracker, Round Eye, Whitey, and a host of others. All people including Al Sharpton have to get past this childish infatuation with a name.

well i was watching 106 & park on BET and it was freestyle Friday. I was offended when the black guy said i would wet ya but i don't wanna smell balogny(misspelled). I am not white and thought that was very cold. I don't think white people stink or black people or anybody stink unless you don't take a bath.

BET isn't allowed to even consider saying racial slurs on or off camera...its like starting racism all over again but in modern slurs. And no there aren't any deragatory terms offensive to Whites. No one would be stupid and racist enough to even think of creating a racial slur and actually saying it to a person of that race they are targeting.

A word only has power if you give it that power. If you are proud of being yourself , then you can use those same 'derogatory' words to describe yourself but feel pride because they are what you want them to mean.

I dont know of any either, and I agree the "white trash" is economical, not racial.
"Whitey" is probable the most derogatory, but I only consider any of these terms negative depending on the manner it which it is said or expressed.

No, but they're still racist. If anyone calls me "white bread" or what ever, I'll know they're a racist. I love everyone with the same amount of rage.
