I need to sell my car because I lost my job. I have a '02 Dodge Stratus. Does anyone know where I can sell it (online or not) for free? I can't afford to put it in a paper or anything. I have to sell it ASAP b/c if not, the bank will repo it. My family and I are in a bad situation. Thanks.

I owe $7900, so I have to try to get that for the car. A dealer would sell it for about that price, so I don't think a dealer would buy it from me.

Print up a for sale sign with the info you want to disseminate and put that in two windows, with a phone number, large enough to read from another passing car, and, either drive around for an hour or so, each day, or, park it in a place where you don't have to worry about it getting towed, preferably a high traffic area, with foot and auto traffic, during 'rush' hour.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. If you park it legally on a busy public street with a for sale sign in the window, you may get a response. I think it is illegal to sell goods in VA on state property, so I wouldn't park it in a place where there is a bunch of cars for sale.
craigs list dot org is another free site that has a lot of users in Northern VA.
Good luck.

You can list it on Craigslist for free.

Have you tried taking the car to Carmax or an independent used car dealer to see what they would pay for your vehicle. Depending on what you owe, it may be a viable option for a quick sale.

Good luck!

make flyers and put them up in a college parking lot or near a military base. People around those places are always tring to find a good deal.

put notices up like at your local stores. Put the car in your front yard with the for sale sign on it and your phone number.
