My friend name his dog DIY and when asked he replied it's because as a pup it was always doing odd jobs around the house. (It was a border collie died at 12 years old)

Also knew a woman who called her cat nookie, and it always ran away and she had to call out "nookie nookie" whare are you in the street. How we laughed as youngsters!

My neighbor was a vet and was always bringing home pets that no one else wanted. She brought home a 3-legged dog that she ended up naming "Tripod". I thought that was funny.

theres a cat on our street called Rabbies. A woman at my work adopted 2 cats, 1 of which had been in a car accident and had half a tail - she named them Itsy and Bitsy as one had bits missing.

I always thought it was cool that my friend named his dogs human names. He worked outside on building sites and the dog was always with him like his best mate.
He had a Dave and an Andy.
Dave was able to get him a beer from the esky too. He'd say "Dave, get us a beer" and Dave did.

I like "Mister" for a dog. When you take him to the vet or groomer you give his name as Mister Young or Mister Smith whatever the family's last name is. Then they call him in for his appointment as " Mister (last name here)"

Fred and Barney is another one of my favorites for two dogs.
Sambucca is going to be my next dog's name- Sam for short
