in attempting to definr philosophical truth we are descibing a ripple on a lake, the breeze from a humingbirds wing, the shape of a cloud in the wind. these things are so fleeting yet so true that any amount of gramatical errors cannot take away the art in thier meanings, and all art allows itself licence....

There are grammatical errors in most books. That said, philosophers have to be careful what they write because a slight error can make a major change in the meaning. So philosophy books tend to be better written than most, even if the content is by its nature hard to read.

Most quality academic philosophy books are refereed by academics as well as edited by the publisher, so they are well checked.

Some philosophy books contain formulae in symbolic logic, which require to be particularly carefully proof read. That is one reason, amongst others, why specialist books on formal logic, like graduate level mathematcis books, are sometimes very expensive.

I think you shouldn't be surprised , since must of the philosophical books are written by other than English people and they are Germans, the must famous ones and Gerick's , Persians, Arabs, Chin's, Indians, but as long as you can understand them which is must of the time quiet difficult, it is alright, and specially in America you shouldn't be that surprised, we are country of immigrants and at the beginning cannot spell as it should be,and since lots of so called celebrity's make spelling mistakes tow and very frequently as long as they do the right thing it is acceptable, but you should also remember" making mistakes "is a big subject in philosophy. OK

I'm not understanding your question...are you asking if philosophy books, books written by fallible people, have errors in them? Seeing as how I've read philosophy books with errors in them...I think you've got your answer

Sure, but as long as they correct in their philosophical content, you shouldn't be too worried.

Now if they were books of the philosophy of perfection, then you might have room to be a little more worried...
