I think that's especially for girls who marry young. Men mature later than women, so even dating a guy our own age is like dating a little brother. By dating a slightly older man, it is dating somebody on the same maturity level. However, as we age, we all catch up in maturity and it doesn't matter.

A lot of women are married to men younger than them. I have 2 friends married who's husbands are 4 - 5 years younger than them. They didn't meet their husbands until they were in their 30's. This is about the age where maturity is pretty much the same for both men and women. Both my friends were divorced and then married to their 2nd husbands when I met them. From what I can see, as well as every one else that's ever around them, they have good solid happy marriages.

That's not true. Men typically die before women, so if they want to increase odds of not being alone for years, I think marrying a younger man would be the smart thing to do!

yes, the first reason is somehow women look mature than men in the same age. in order that do not let people think they are sisters and brothers, the best way is to find someone who is older than her. another reason is men who are young ( about 20 to 23) do not have solid achievement, so they can not put themselves in a position that can be a supportive and protective.

For me that has always been the case. Most younger men are not mature enough to take on a partner and handle being married. They are still tied to mommy's apron strings! You know,"Mommy's boy". I have dated several younger men and it has always turned out that they are just too immature!

Men are supposed to be strong and big and women are supposed to be delicate and weak.........hahaha........this is what we have been told since our childhood and that is why it is like that.....even most men don't like to marry older women.......it is natural
