I would say it has improved our level of comfort. As to the overall quality . . . I would say "not really". Quality of life I think has to do with how we as individuals leave our mark on future generations and how we impact others lives in our day-to-day dealings. Technollogy has made it easier for us to be isolationists. We get in our cars by ourselves, drive to work where we sit in a cubicle by ourselves and then go home and watch TV. We send emails rather than personal hand-written letters or even calling someone we care about. Quality of life has definitely gone downhill.

There are certainly unassailable benefits like medical advances and faster, less exhausting means of travel (I think the Latin root for travel is work). My cell phone and car have proven to be extremely useful in past emergency situations. It's nice to send and receive mail sooner and cheaper than before.
But I also think it has made life worse in many ways. I agree with those who mentioned that it has made us lazier and more isolated from each other. I read a news article recently that pointed out how many otherwise successful professionals are feeling increasingly isolated. It's arguable that it's too easy to just turn on and passively watch TV or chat via e-mail instead of having face-to-face interaction with other people. As more and more jobs become technology-assisted or technology-based, more workers have sedentary jobs, which has been cited as a factor in obesity.
Also, it has sped up the pace of life and looks set to continue that trend. We become more impatient as the rate at which we obtain products and services speeds up. Physiologically and mentally, I don't think humans are designed to live such a fast-paced lifestyle. Certainly, some people thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced, technologically-driven environment. But I am saddened when I think about all the people I know who suffered from stress-related illnesses. To quote a line from a song, "living life at the speed of light leaves dark in your soul." It's interesting how many people's idea of retirement or paradise is to live a slow-paced life on a remote, tropical island away from computers, cell phones and other tech gadgets. Some religions are a quest for serenity. Sometimes, these gadgets just serve to increase the noise in our lives and block us from achieving that serenity.
Many "experts" once said that computers would make paper obsolete and our paper consumption would go down. Didn't just the opposite occur? Also, it's led to relatively new, computer-related crimes that have destroyed people's lives.
Now I'm not a Luddite who advocates turning back the clock in terms of technology. Short of an all-out nuclear war or global calamity throwing humanity back to a more primitive age, I don't think technology will regress anyway. But as with anything technological, there are always costs that accompany the benefits.

rather a lot all technologies has had a mixed outcome of our existence high quality. For instants television- say if there's a baby who in hardship-free words speaks Spanish and they have a television with in hardship-free words English Channels it ought to help them study English yet they could possibly get depressed because it is so had to study. Or say you've a relations of settee potato's and the in hardship-free words time they arrive jointly is at the same time as the television is on than it is nice that the television is there in spite of the undeniable fact that the reason behind this relations's lazy behaviors ought to correctly be brought about with the aid of the television. The radio, laptop, and cellphones have also had good and undesirable consequences on human beings mentally and socially or perhaps bodily.

More or less yes and no. (More or less yes, it improved a little; and more or less no, some technology actually produces more work for us)
