Canada, but in fairness we have two national sports. Hockey was added maybe 15 years ago, and Lacrosse is the other national sport, it's been our national sport far longer then hockey, officially anyway.
Hockey has always been Canadians favorite sport. For the most part.

Canada has two national sports.
Lacrosse was the original national sport in 1867 but was changed to the summer national sport in 1994. Also in 1994, hockey was brought on as the national winter sport.
