The size of the moon and sun is expressed by the angle it subtends in our eye.

The angular diameter of the moon is roughly 30 minute (half a degree).

If we draw two lines from the two extreme points of the diameter of the moon they will subtend an angle of 30 minute.

The angular diameter of the Sun is roughly 32 minute ( little more than half a degree).

Moon is so large.Bur compared to our planet earth it is less in size. Our moon is 2160miles in Diameter. But it is only 27% of earth's diameter. It's mass is only 1.2% of earth. If earth is placed in one side of a see sha we have to place 85 to 90 moons on other side of the see sha to balance it's weight.
It's size is only the size of Indian subcontinent.Only asian population can stay in moon. For more information visit www.space.com (or)www.nasa.gov

It fits easily in my hand, it's smaller than my pet goldfish.

(It's about 1/6th the size of Earth, hence gravity is 1/6th that of Earth. 1/6g)
