People like it because they have no brain. Or they are REALLY rich and have nothing better to do, so they go to opera and listen and their high-pitched singing brainwashes them into loving the stuff. That's basically why, although, Phantom of the Opera is pretty good, it scares me a bit but it is good. Also, Le Miserables is good, too, I haven't really seen it in a while, so I don't know if it an opera, but there you go.

I enjoy opera because they take an enormous amount of talent to pull off, and I like to listen to singer who actually have talent.
Going to see an opera is fun because the sets are lavish and the stories are wonderful.
I also like to listen to it on my mp3 player. Once you get to know the songs and the translations, it's just like listening to music in English.
And Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera are NOT operas, they are musicals.

Some people like musicals where they sing all the words in high pitched voices I guess. Personally, I hate the opera.

Actually opera is nothing to be racist about i sing opers and it is definetly cool and im 11 and still like r&b and hip hop and all those things but opera is more calming!!!!

opera is a show. not too many people listen to opera in their cars. but f u ever have the chance go to a. opera show. u mite like it. key word being MITE. opera suks

Because it's cool. They put so much effort into it. It sounds GOOD! and it's something to do on a saturday night.
