I was told the other day by someone that when we are born we officially have 24 senses but because we don't exercise them we loose the ability to use them n thus we only end up having 5 senses that we use, smell, sound, sight, taste and touch.
Has anyone ever been told this? And do you think it is true.

Not sure about 24 senses but its an interesting topic you bring up. I wouldnt say its impossible considering we only roughly 10% of our brains so more senses is definitely a possibility. For instance if we could use more of the 90% of the brain we dont use maybe we could read minds or sense the future. I believe we've barely scratched the surface of what we're capable of.

24 senses? I've never heard of that.

Though psychics/new age will sometimes believe in "duplicate" senses that operate on another plane of existance and are operationally independant of the physical ones. But even with another plane of existance that would only raise the number to ten.

Never heard more that what most of us know and I know zilch about it... but you bring up a thought with your provocative question.

I am thinking now, yeah, what about instinct and premonitions we all get now and again? HUMMM?
