Passenger Profiling should be brought into place to protect the innocent. So what if it upsets people i'd rather people were upset rather than them being blown up on a transatlantic flight..

Absolutely. Just as we now have a first class section, we should institute a non-Aryan section on all public transportation. Airplanes, trains and buses should all have the rear section reserved for those of questionable ancestry or skin color. Not only should there be armed marshalls to enforce this, but properly registered Caucasians should be required to carry firearms so that they can assist in maintaining order. To protect our children, this arrangement should also apply in schools. Rewards should be offered for information leading to the arrest and punishment of those who attempt to infiltrate what could be known as the Whites Only Protection Code.

The problem with knee jerk reactions like those you have suggested is this. If the 21 people outed by the bank of England are indeed guilty of an attempt at terrorism, you would have noticed that included in that number are two white guys, 2 West Indians and the rest from British Pakistanis. Maybe Arab countries can start profiling white, christian males who are predominantly the ones arrested for paedophilia before they let them near their children? Ultimately the best way to prevent terrorism is to stop interfering in other people's country.

Do you know how many Arab/Mulsims that are INNOCENT pass through the airlines each day? Over 20,000 in the Us alone!

Racial profiling is a sick attempt to hold Islam in check while the conservative right freely build Ten Commandments at all the courthouses of America. "Lord" Stevens wants to keep you living in fear.

I am in agreement with Lord Stevens. Passenger Profiling in these radical and scary times has its just place.

Besides, *everyone* gets checked more thoroughly now on both sides of the Atlantic, not just middle-eastern looking chaps.

Kudos to British intel and the Afghan authorities who gave the heads up on the latest terrorist attempt.

"He who would sacrafice a little liberty for a little security deserves neither, and will lose both" - Benjamin Franklin. A quote which is growing increasingly apt.
