Sarah G, mike-from-spain, -leap- -of- -faith- and Sarah Q have all been reported.

P.S. I have absolutely NOTHING to do with this campaign. If some lunatic is going to accuse me of doing this sort of campaign then let them get on with it, but keep me out of it!

They may be swearing or talking about people (celebrities/friends/family) without their consent. Like they can't show it because if its someone whos hated in the public eye or isnt now but will be and they've said they shop in Asda...or gucci it'll be a bad thing and become like the hate with burburry because they associate them with it. Thats why the edit out anything they say about celebs or brand shops. And they cant talk about family or friends without consenting them first. Like they don't let them wear brand names either or they make them put black tape over it. Its because of legal reasons, most companies have a policy and big brother dont want to be sued over anything.

Its meant to be live but its a few minutes slow when grace went into the BB house for her Birthday it was 15mins slow because she went in at midnight but they had to edit all the bad stuff. So its usually 5 or more mins slow.

The conversation between housemates is regularly interrupted with this "background noise" because the TV Company is legally responsible for anything spoken about people. Anything a contestant says about any other person may be construed as slanderous and so if the conversation turns "personal" the TV company cuts to this bird song and aircraft noise.

I personally would love the whole BB conversation to be turned off and the background noise kept on ... some of these people are so terminally dull it makes me want to slit my wrists!

Big Brother has a 15 minute delay. They have to do this for legal reasons due to the fact that they show it during the day. The producers of the show have to ensure that any strong language that is going on can be edited out. It hasn't always been birds that have been used for this they used to use train noises too.

Legal Reasons. There is a 15 minute delay (saw the clock above Nicki when she was a secretary and it was 15 mins behind) ahhhhhhhhh sucked in to the BB World stress!!!!!!!

Its because they are discussing things that can't be broadcast at that time, possible sexual in nature, or about things where there may be the possibility of litigation. Perhaps taking about products like mobile phone suppliers that are not Carphone warehouse. The bird sounds are there just to break up the silence.

Cos its not actually 100% live, there is a few second delay. The bird sound is the producers not letting you hear stuff they dont want you to like swearing etc

They block out a lot either because of language (yea right!), personal things relating to friends and family or mostly I think so that they can use it on the highlight show.
Too much is blocked out by the birds if you ask me

2006-08-14 09:12:07 · answer #7 · answered by mise 4 · 1 0

Because it's not 'real time' live. They cover the bits they don't want to air with the birds etc. There are different legal reasons why they don't air stuff.

It is because the housemates are talking about something that cannot be broadcasted either for copyright reason or personal reason or they are swearing etc Either way its just background noise
