I think Shamalan's movies are unique. I've never been bored in one of his movies. He latest one - Lady in the Water isn't as good as his previous movies but I still enjoyed watching it. My ranking for his movies are:

1. Sixth Sense
2. The Village
3. Unbreakable
4. Signs
5. Lady in the Water

What makes his movies even more enjoyable are the fact that you can watch them again and find stuff you didn't see the first time. Shamalan is truly a gifted writer/director.

The only movies that he made Worth mentioning is Sixth sense and signs. The others are a waste of money and should not even make it to regular TV. I will never have another man spend $10+ for me to see any of the ridiculous stories that he does again.

i loved six sense and to this day i can still watch it and find out different things that i have not noticed before.
he has a brillant mind and i love the way he ends his movies not the usual boring ending . he likes to keep u guessing with all his little twists. the only movie i did not like of his was unbreakable , i found it too long and kinda on the boring side. but the others i was very impressed with . i have not yet to see lady in the water but its on my list of movies to see for sure.
i also like how in each of his movies he gives himself a small role like alfred hitchcock did .

I like his movies--my faves are Signs and The Sixth Sense. The only problem--once you watch them it kinda loses something when you rewatch (you know what's coming and what's going to happen)--I think this is most felt in The Village

I love M. Night's movies. So creative and entertaining. I also love the fact that he films most of his stuff in the Bucks County and Philadelphia area and not on a Hollywood sound stage!

i have only seen signs and the sixth sense, but so far i am very very impressed with his movies. i'm not a thriller/spooky movie type, but i LOVED signs. it was creepy, but also very fulfilling. the sixth sense was also amazing, although i'd heard the ending before seeing the movie, which stunk. i loved how shyamalan scattered bits of red all across the movie, subtley but to a very dramatic end.
i've heard terrible reviews for lady in the water and a few bad ones for some of his other movies, but i'm not one to pass judgement on movies i haven't seen.

i saw the village and got so bored with it that i had to turn it off. i tried to watch it again after being told that it gets better, but again i turned it off. the lady in the water looks like it is ok but i always follow my husband's advice with thriller movies - how good can it be it it only rated pg-13

Some are better than others. I didn't like the Village. But I enjoyed Signs. I just like how everything fell into place and stuff.
