Because they want the discussion to begin and end, here, publicly on this forum. They know further discussion would not be productive due to the strong opinions people express here. They can go one on one with their friends anytime, they are well educated and informed. However, they can't discuss political issues, particularly with people from foreign countries, in any other place.
If you are seeking to challenge some of these "purveyors of untruthes" (by the way, are you from the 17th century?) these liars are best exposed publicly. Expose them, and shove their untruthes in their faces, here where a few other people will see!

I can't get my email to cooperate, I do have a 360 page with the little space for comments however, not that I'm a "purveyor of untruth".
Hey numbnutz with the cowboy hat, Kevin and I disagree and have had correspondence in the past via questions, while the opportunity presented itself I thought I would give him the courtesey of an explanation, you on the other hand are insignificant.

There are about an equal number on both sides. I, of course, don't hide behind a screen name, have email contacts and a 360 page as well as a link to my personal webpage at a domain which I own. Those who don't even list contact information don't want to debate, they just want to spew hatred and move on. Most of them don't last too long on here.
I am always up for a debate...

Because they are hiding so that they don't have to deal with actually "learning" other points of view. It is actually easier for them to shoot their mouth's off and fulfill their low self esteem without having to admit they were wrong.
