i mean why do we shed tears, what's the exlplanation for that?

It is a pretty difficult question but good one! We cry when we are sad because we don't feel like doing anything else. If you hear that someone you love a lot is dead, would you just sit there and "never mind" it? It's all about the brain. The brain thinks up the message "You need to shed tears" and passes it to the eye and instantly the eyes begins to well up, to cry. All this happens in just a second! Every thing you do have something to do with the Brain.

It's a way of reducing the pain. It's called 'The Operant Behaviour Technique'. When u feel low, ur lacrimal glands are activated or ur body urges u 2 scream, thus reducing the depression. No wonder, we can cope- up with the saddest of moments!

sadness is an emotion an we can explain it by the tears so that other person can know that ur feeling sad and upset. without showing no one can understan that u r sad bcoz people are not god and nither they have some super power to understan whats going on in ur mind.

Crying when sad indicates that the course of the sadness is unacceptable to the person.However,cry of joy does not belong to this group

It is emotions which allow out tear glands to react to the situation we are in same as we laugh.
It is reaction to our emotions.
