What is more cruel then death?...suffering from a disease like Alzheimer's disease were you loose a little bit of youself daily. You suffer, your loved ones suffer your loss. The demiss lasts 7 to 20 yrs until you finally die of other complications. I think that would be more cruel then death.

The thought of dying is worse than death. Couple this with the persons worst fear and you have the ultimate cruelty - look at Room 101 in George Orwell's 'nineteen-eightyfour'

i am unsure to what that answer will be but am going to give my opinion anyway....

i think that not being able to rise above some of our traits are worse than death, those things that make us human, fear, guilt, stress, bitterness, etc because it always seems that it is those human qualities that make us unhappy and the world a place that so many dont want to live in.

no me though i am obivously some sort of super human who has none of these problems.. lol! so i guess i am saying life is worse than death for some but i'm trying to give reasons.

There is no right answer. Surviving is sometimes worse than death. Being one of few survivors after a natural disaster, massacre or terrorist attack can leave you with terrible feelings of guilt, so that you spend the rest of your life wishing you hadn't survived

I don't know the answer but I think that a long and painful desease is more cruel that death. So much so, that in most cases they want to die.
