stand for Post Office Protocol
You need a mail server, then you use pop3
and no, it has nothing to do with a Post Office

Yahoo , Hotmail Gmail and others are not POP3 mails.

Yahoo is not providing free pop3 and smtp for Outlook Express unless you have the paid version

you can not use yahoo in OE unless you have the paid version

you have to get the server name from your ISP(Internet service provider) That's the only way you will be able to send and receive correctly on your own server.
