Most Critics believe Citzen Kane to be one of the greatest films ever made, however if you are asking for my opinion on what I think was the greatest movie ever made, it would be hard to say. I would probaly go along the lines of Shawshank Redemption or any one Of Alfred Hitchcock's Film, that man Was definetly the Master of what he did in his time period.
