I gamble conservatively and play a dollar here and there, but nothing big. So I got lucky last night, but why bash gambling?

There is nothing wrong with throwing a dollar or two occasionally away at gambling. However there is also nothing wrong with having a glass of wine with a good meal, or a beer with a long lost friend. There is also nothing wrong with occasionally appreciating the looks of a beautiful girl. But, gambling as a hopes of actually making money, or drinking to get drunk , or getting caught up in pornography are harmful. You are playing with fire. It is very easy to let the unrealistic fantasy world that these types of things can develop into take the place of focusing on the enjoyment and betterment of your real life and the ones that love you.

You played a buck here and there, so now add them all up and see 500 or less. Most likely if you truly add all you spend then subtract what you have won the difference will not be so much to write home about. Gambling is not bad nor good it is just expensive and addicting.

I think the casino advantage is between 2-20 percent depending upon what game you play.

its okay if you do it moderately.. Once you get into the obsessive compulsive gambling then there's a promblem. I would prefer betting money on something that requires more skill though, like bet on sports games on sports book, or play poker.. Although if you like cash 3 play,, but don't expect to win..

It's not bad if you are conservative. I'm like you, I play a buck here and there. Once in a while a few $1 scratchoffs. I win a little and lose more, but hey! Congrats on your win!
