I've used tools>internet options>content>autocomplete>clear forms>clear passwords>unchecked auto complete boxes in order to clear my history, and it works great. However, if I re-check the boxes, everything comes right back. I want to *permanently* delete this info, especially on websites that show my login name. The way it is now, anyone can go to the *tools* setting, recheck the boxes, and get my info. How can I fix this?

I prefer not to use any specialized programs that I would have to download. Thanks!

Edit: I've cleared the history and cookies. All the websites I've ever visited have been permanently deleted. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about when you go to a website and have to sign in...by clicking on the blank sign-in box, a list of names you have used in the past shows up. As I said, going to "tools" and unchecking the boxes under "auto complete" fixes the problem. However, if I later go back to tools and re-check the boxes, all the names I've used in the past return when I click on a blank sign-in box. I don't want this to ever happen, I want all those names to disappear forever.

You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.

You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.

To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.
It will solve your all search related problems.

Start to Control Panel to Network and Internet Connections to Internet Options. Clear history. It will not return.

I hope this helps you.
