How can a mother leave 2 of her children to emigrate to another country?

My partners ex wife is emigrating to Canada and only taking one child with her! 18 yr old, and leaving 16 and 14 year old. Is it not a mothers responsibilty to stay with her children until they are old enough to look after themselves? Is this selfish or not?

they re both parents, so i really don't understand how come u decided that taking care of children is only mother's responsibility. your partner made 3 children, why she has to carry this burden alone?good luck with his kids, im sure they will be a lot of fun for u
