Tubes / Pipes can be produced using two methods, one through bending (rolling in longitudinal direction or spirally) and welding the longitudinal (/spiral) joint. This welding joint is called 'seam'. The other method is through drawing (pulling through a die with a core at the center). The latter doesn't require any welding. This is called seamless pipe / tube
