"Seagate Momentus™ Series External Mobile 2.5" and a "Seagate Barracuda™ Series External 3.5". I know the former says it's portable and the latter one says isn't, but is it possible that i can take the latter external hard drive, go over to my friend's pc and download stuff from his pc into my external hard drive, go back to my pc and download stuff on my external hard drive back to my hard drive on my pc? Can I do that with both types of external hard drive?

in case you may arise with the money for the 500GB then absolutly get it. it is going to carry two times the form of records, and be plenty more cost-effective in preserving with gb then the 250. in case you bypass with the 250, a three hundred and sixty 5 days from now you've gotten to spend the money back to get the 5 hundred because you've gotten filled up the 250. So more cost-effective to get it now somewhat then later.
