Serious question this, how do you get them off a squirming baby without getting poo everywhere, is there a knack I am missing?

Do they have rip off sides? I thought they were like swim nappies which you need to pull down.

Great after causing several small environmental disasters I have once again been caught out being a dozy bint.

You hold the baby's feet firmly with one hand and lift. Undo the tabs at either side, pull the front down and under, wiping as you go (and deftly enclosing the mess so it doesn't go everywhere), then you use the tabs to seal the resulting package (still holding the baby up by the ankles).
Wipe clean with cotton wool and lotion, insert new nappy, fasten tabs and you are done. Get lotion anywhere near the adhesive on the tabs and you really are 'done for', though! Have sellotape (or duct tape - or even a spare nappy - handy.)
Edit: Black mark to me for not reading the question properly!!! You said pull-ups ... that should mean that the child is already old enough to be in toilet training! The squirming is due to an attitude problem. Sort that out and get the child's co-operation and there will be less trouble. Calmness and the assumption that the child is able to help will go a long way towards solving the problem! Don't EVER let on that poo disgusts you!
We always said "Well, if you are not going to help, you can stay in the smelly thing till you are ready to be good. You will get nappy rash and it will feel horrid but that is your problem!"

You can rip the sides. Take a look at one before you put it on the baby. There is a 'seam' above the leg holes. If your little one does poo in them, you can rip the sides and remove like a standard nappy.

The sides are perforated, this made me laugh, gave me a hilarious mental image of you trying to 'whip' em off full of poo!
THATS why they are called pull *UP* pants, so when potty training they can be pulled UP again...
and ripped off at the sides for accidents, lmao

Don't bother with them - they're a total waste of money. If you're potty training just go straight to standard underwear - your kids will get the hang of it a lot quicker. Otherwise, keep them in normal nappies.

wriggling baby? sounds a bit young. If its a toilet training toddler then the best is the keep them standing and pull it down or i'm sure the sides rip open, i only used pampers and theres did, think theyr the same.x

Go for pampers. they are more absorbent and dont leak as easily. I'd go fo baby dry nappies at night, or with a baby, and pull-ups when they start potty training. although you are best putting down a plastic mat and towel, and letting them run naked, til u get to clear up :) yep, its soooo much fun!

Hallo Barneyboy, they tear down the sides and then you can take them off like a normal nappy.

They have rip open sides. Just get the little one to lay still and rip away!
