It doesn't matter who you vote for. Instead, decide who you are voting against.

Nobody is trying to win the war on terror with guns alone.I suggest voting in the Center. Avoid far left wing and far right wing canidates. We need to attain a more stable government. Lest we forget, We The People are the government.
This country is so very divided thus weakened by division. John mcCain is a wonderful canidate for president as for the upcoming election I would suggest voting for the third party canidate thus giving the center a more powerful voice when Bill and Amendments are with in ear shot of a tie. Thus giving the Center which it sounds like that is where you stand.
Try this link it is very short and will let you be able to recognize others that believe as you that are running for office.

John Kerry was against gay marriage as well, despite the attempts of the right to say otherwise. And there are pro-life democrats (though admittedly few and far between). Perhaps the trick is to look at the abortion issue as something other than a yes/no question. For instance, woiuld you favor the right to an abortion for a woman who has been raped? If so, don't vote Republican.

Voting on these few issues is not enough. When casting a vote you are in theory putting soeone in charge of various aspects of your life for at least 2 years, would you for a business partnership with someone based on thier answers to three issues.
Also these are the polarizing issues tearing us all apart, what about minimum wage, sacial security, education reform, broader forign policy questions, role of NATO, free trade, debt forgiveness, thirs world relations. How about the ecology, how do you think it should be handled in the future.
My point is that these three issues you mention are a small piece of what should be a much larger consideration. The first two are wedge issues, issues brought up by politicians to energize thier base, there will be no changing of peoples minds on these two, so they are not the same as number 3, or countless others.
Vote from your heart, vote for the person you feel will do the best job, and will do it honestly.

Why are u against gay marriage? Doesn't mean you have to marry a guy!

I'm against war because more civilians die then the ones who enrolled in the army and so many more suffer or have poor living conditions afterward.

I would vote for any green party and sure would be against anyone on the side of Bush! Find someone with a copy of the Bushism calendar and you'll have 365 reasons to vote against him!

Think of where your vote is most effective.

It may be too late to influence that war in Iraq with your vote, but maybe it can make a difference in the other subjects.

I believe that in civilised society, there are many pros and cons, but war is certainly uncivilised.
I would place my vote with any candidate who was totally against any war, present or future, and if I could not get this commitment, I would not vote.

For the person and the party you think is most qualified to lead your country well. Every human has pros and cons, the one with the best positives should be an obvious choice.

May the best person win!
All the best!
