I have been with my partner for 4 and a half years now i love him much and he loves me, but i want some kind of commitment from him, i mean we live together and share the bills, and he makes me laugh so much when were together i'm not asing for marriage but maybe an engagement ring just so i know where i stand becuause i could never imagine myself being with anyone else and he also says the same to me to that he loves me and he wants to commit but i'm still waiting. He's 28 i'm 24.

The answer to your question is yes. I do believe that this man does want to be with you. I mean how much more commitment do you want your already living together. One thing that you have to understand is that men are scared of commitment and living toghether already must be a big commitment on his behalf. Be happy with what you have at the moment im sure when he feels ready he will propose. In the meantime dont want too much too soon as this could have consequences.

An engagement ring is not enough to make your relationship a committed one. If he wants to leave you, no engagement ring is going to stop him. What you need is to get married. Tell him you want a wedding soon and that if that is not what he wants then you should split up. He can't be having the milk and not paying for the cow.

Give it a little more time. Like you said im sure he loves you, he's jus still prolly not ready. Guys mature a little slower than girls so maybe he just hasnt reached your level yet. It doesnt mean he doesnt think about it. On the other hand, maybe he isnt a marriage type guy, you should ask him if he's ever considered getting married and starting a family one day.
