You can think of N80 as a sucessor of 6280, thus it has everything that 6280 offers, and more (at a more expensive price, though).

If you don't really care about installing 3rd party applications (non-J2ME) on to your phone to increase your productivity, tri-band is good enough, and you don't care about WiFi, 6280 is probably good enough. 6280 has a slightly bigger battery capacity too.

N80 has WiFi, higher screen resolution, and it is a smartphone that lets you install Symbian applications. It also has unique features like uPNP (universal Plug-n-Play) and quad-band GSM. Iit also has a 3 megapixel CMOS camera (vs 6280's 2 megapixel). On the other hand, its sliding mechanism has flaws (not sure about 6280).

If your budget allows, go for N80. Otherwise 6280 is a good choice as well. I would also suggest you not to limit yourself to Nokia brand. Sony Ericsson are making great phones too. (I currently own N80, but I owned SE W600i before N80; both are good phones).

Hope it helps!

definitely n80, the n80 has a 3 mega pixel camera, the 6280 only has a 2 mp, the 6280 only has 10mb of phone memory the n80 has 60, honestly the 6280 is poor i have 1 and i am desperately searching for a new handset it is that bad, if you have a choice of any id go for the sony ericsson k800i! by the way the 6280 came out december last year and the n80 came out april this year! hope i have helped

N80 is better phone than 6280 due to N80 is symbian 60 phones which you can download a lot types software on it and the design and quality is among the best in N-series, just different from N70 , Using the 3rd generation OS 60 application . i am been using N80 now , just recently trade in 6280 and 6233 to change it .
